I am using skype and i tried to turn on my webcam but it says my webcam cant connect.im tryin to find out how to turn it on but i cant..can you please help me.

Skype automatically detects the Web-cam only if it works already well with windows. So go to my computer> see if its listed in the scanners and Cameras devices.

If not listed, then you shall need the drivers for it in order to work in windows.

I have a logictech pro9000 web cam & have the 4.1 version of skype. I can not see who i am on with butthey can see me. can you help me? Thank you in advance

What you are missing in your video calls is an automating happening in Skype.. you dont have to do anything. If it is not happening means that skype is not installed properly.
Go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and remove Skype from the PC. Now reboot and install skype after a fresh download. Now configure skype to use this webcam as default webcam and enjoy video calls. For more info read the link:

I have a veo webcam at yahoo mesenger and at skype ..my cam works at yahoo but not at skype ..it keeps saying error .what do i need to do ? thank you in advance ..

skype can be a pain like this, you can try going into skype options and video settings and making sure your camera is choosen. if fails still try using some thing like many cams its a free webcam software with a tone of effects and so on works nice with skype yahoo or anything.

This solution is just not working

Download and run this diagnostic tool
http://www.download32.com/webcam-diagnostics-d35065.html
Ignore the first alert - I always get that.

If you downloaded your webcam software from a CD it may not include the latest patches try re-installing your software from here
http://www.a4tech.com/ennew/support.asp
Close all programs
Disconnect webcam
Uninstall software
Restart computer
Install new software.

It may be a Skype problem
The Skype forum suggests there may be a problem with later versions Most people had success by re-installing a previous version (v.4.0.0.226) of Skype.
Older versions here

My webcam doesnt work with skype

Check you have the latest driver - faults likes this are usually patched until a new driver is issued
Access Device Manager from the Control Panel and expand the Imaging folder.
Right click on your webcam text and update driver - select internet when prompted.
If you have the latest driver - check the Creative website and Skype for any forums that show similar problems
