Question about Logitech MX700 CORDLESS OPTICAL MOUSE W/RAPID CHARGE BASE STATION (LOGMX700)
Hi All, I have the basic Logitech cordless optical mouse, and have a rather annoying problem. At random intervals, the mouse pointer will suddenly go to one of the 4 corner's of the screen. This has occured with 2 of these mice (the first died within a week), and didn't occur when I used a standard cheap mouse while waiting for my replacement, using the same driver's. I have downloaded the latest driver's and installed fresh batteries, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? It is very annoying, especially when it goes top left corner just as I click and it closes a program. mouse frequently behaves as if has had too much to drink. Unable to solve this problem. I have a logitech mx 700
ive had the mx700 for two years and im very comfortable with it.
I think you problem lies not with the mouse or the driver, but rather the mousepad.
Since the mx700 is not a lasermouse, but "only" optical, it still needs a decent pad to work flawlessly.
Ive had problems with these kind of mice using blank paper, magazines or tablesurfaces.
Try to get a real mousepad from somewhere (should be really cheap), that should do the trick =)
I upgradet to a razer diamondback later which is a laser mouse (1600dpi, while optical mice (with the red light) have 800dpi). Some ppl say that this is too much, and not needed (you can get even higher specs =) but i felt a world of difference, it just works everywhere! (except for mirrors and glas =)
