Erratic Logitech cordless optical mouse

Hi All, I have the basic Logitech cordless optical mouse, and have a rather annoying problem. At random intervals, the mouse pointer will suddenly go to one of the 4 corner's of the screen. This has occured with 2 of these mice (the first died within a week), and didn't occur when I used a standard cheap mouse while waiting for my replacement, using the same driver's. I have downloaded the latest driver's and installed fresh batteries, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? It is very annoying, especially when it goes top left corner just as I click and it closes a program. mouse frequently behaves as if has had too much to drink. Unable to solve this problem. I have a logitech mx 700

ive had the mx700 for two years and im very comfortable with it.
I think you problem lies not with the mouse or the driver, but rather the mousepad.
Since the mx700 is not a lasermouse, but "only" optical, it still needs a decent pad to work flawlessly.
Ive had problems with these kind of mice using blank paper, magazines or tablesurfaces.
Try to get a real mousepad from somewhere (should be really cheap), that should do the trick =)

I upgradet to a razer diamondback later which is a laser mouse (1600dpi, while optical mice (with the red light) have 800dpi). Some ppl say that this is too much, and not needed (you can get even higher specs =) but i felt a world of difference, it just works everywhere! (except for mirrors and glas =)

Could be a bad batteries. I only use Duracell in mine, however, mine is a Microsoft. Also, check the manufacturers website for driver updates.

My logitech V220 optical mouse won't work, I changed the batteries.

Hi three, uninstall the Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver from the laptop and then restart the laptop again. Now install that Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver again . I am sure its will start working. If not then make sure your batter Is properly fixed inside in the mouse & that's fully charged. After those thing if still not working then visit service center, because the mouse censer stop working and its damaged.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

I have a logitech cordless optical mouse m-rr67a......BUT I DON'T HAVE THE INSTALLATION CD!how can i get cd ?

Depending on the OS version you have, Windows may have a basic drive available in its library.
Turn the mouse on first (either switch or just movement), then boot your system. If you see a message saying it has 'found new hardware' and is installing software for it, you will have basic functions. If you need the entire installation (which may have a more detailed UI), you can get it from the Logitech website.

Logitech mouse blinks red after hanging battries

If this is a cordless Optical mouse it uses a red optical beam to sense the surface below it. This is how it moves the pointer. If this is the same mouse/keyboard combo I have it does not have any other lights on the mouse itself.

It is quite annoying when its dark in the room since the bottom is somewhat transparent.
