Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

A cubic polynomial with real coefficients has three roots (in the field of Complex numbers). One root is real, the other two are **complex conjugate.**

Roots are z=+3,z=2+2i, z=2-2i

F(z)=(z-3)(z-2-2i)(z-2+2i)

Roots are z=+3,z=2+2i, z=2-2i

F(z)=(z-3)(z-2-2i)(z-2+2i)

I remember this happening once to my TI-83. I know it's a different calculator. But it happened frequently. Without completely reconfiguring the calculator, you can remove the batteries whenever you see the message and when you start it up again, it should be okay. It may continue to display this message once in a while. I used to just remove the batteries. I don't know if it will work on your TI-84 the way it worked on my TI-83, but I hope this helped!

Having gone over a month without a response to my query, I assume it was a matter of the angular mode setting

Hello,

You do not describe under what circumstances you get the error message. It has to do with the memory. I suggest you reset memory

Press [2nd][MEM][F1:Reset][1:ALL].

If that does not solve this problem, try reinstalling the OS by connecting it to a working calculator, or by making use of the TIConnect Software, which you can download from education.ti.com. On the site you will find the latested version of the OS.

Hope it helps.
