Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

Pc will not see tuner

I did a clean install to Vista Ultimate from media center 2004 now my media center will not recognize that there is a tuner available.

I am not sure what type of tuner I have an dI have no idea how to tell.

I went into device manager and loaded drivers for every device showing.

I am running on 512 mb of ram could that be the issue for the media center not seeing the tuner.

Media Center file types

Yes, file extensions, .gif, .bitmap, .jpg are case sensitive. Just like if you tried to save a word document as .DOC then the file would look like test.DOC.doc. Change case and it will be fine.

Try to rename one of the pictures to lower case .jpg. Normally this isn't an issue, since Windows is not case sensitive on file names. Somewhere along the way you may have changed the association.

Another thing to try is to right click on a JPG file and select Open With / Choose Program. Select the picture viewer of your choice and select Always Use. That should set the association permanently.

Sure you can. Vista may ask you a confirmation before any software installation (uses to show a darker screen , with a little window in the center , for your confirmation). After that , the install runs normally.

there is no problems about your system. Its maybe your systems is lack media "codecs" that enhance your DVD files or Movies to play. maybe you should download any HD dvd codecs and install to your system. or may search google the "media player classic" and use as your player or VLC player preety cool player for almost movies.
