This problem with the Wega must be in the air right now... the tv will be powered on everything is fine and then the screen goes black with no sound for a few minuets and then comes back on with pic and sound... this happens without the power ever turning off or me doing anything. Sometimes it will do it repeatedly every 5 min or so, and then sometimes I will have 30 min of no interruptions.

I have the same problem as the first person. My light blinks 20 times (19 regular blink then the last one is short)

I have power but it will not turn on. unplugged from power cord overnight then plugged into wall worked fine until i shut it off again, now it keeps blinking the delay light

HI, Our Sony t.v. was working perfectly and then all of a sudden I went to turn it on and the screen was black. The standby light flashes 4 times but that is all. No sound, no picture, nothing.

it is power supply problem it need to handle professionally, you must contact your nearest Sony Service Center.

My Sony trinitron has the stero lite on steady and standby lite flashes four times then pauses and repeats. Can you tell me the circuit/condition causing the set to not turn on.

Sony wega trinitron won't turn on

Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted. Check IC1509, Q1505

Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

and some times the eprom ic is fulty ...

try to unplug your tv from the main power for 5 hours then press the power button and keep pressing for 7 seconds then release ,if this do not work ,you should take your tv to a qualified person

Sony Trinitron blank tv/no picture

When I turn on the TV I hear the click sound and the TV powers up. Immediatly the red (standby) light begins to flash 6 times on and off. this happenes only in the morning, but after 5:00PM when youturn on the TV as if nothing is wrong.
