Hello Fran Addington, thanks for your post!
I understand that you are having difficulty setting the time on your Frigidaire range. With some ranges once you press "Clock" the time is actually set using the keypad with the numbers. I would attempt to use the keypad. If that does not help correct the issue could you please provide me with your model number? Typically, you can locate the model number on the bottom panel behind the drawer. I look forward to assisting you further. -Matt
After a power failure, some models will automatically resume their
setting once the power is restored. On models with a clock, you must reset the clock. If the oven was in use, you must reset it by
pressing the CLEAR/OFF pad, setting the clock and resetting any cooking function.
To Set the Clock
The clock must be set to the correct time
of day for the automatic oven timing
functions to work properly. The time of day
cannot be changed during a timed baking
or self-cleaning cycle.
Touch the CLOCK pad twice.
Touch the + or – pads.
If the + or – pads are not touched within
one minute after you touch the CLOCK pad,
the display reverts to the original setting.
If this happens, touch the CLOCK pad and
reenter the time of day.
Touch the START/ON pad until the
time of day shows in the display. This
enters the time and starts the clock.
To check the time of day when the display is
showing other information, simply touch the
CLOCK pad. The time of day shows until another
pad is touched.
If you do not have the owner's use and care manual,
go to this website and get a free download
of your manual by clicking on your model #.
Once you have downloaded it, you can print it up.
Setting the clock When first connected, or after a power failure longer than 15 seconds, ‘0.00’ and AUTO will flash on the display. To set the clock, press the <hand> button and then the <+> and <-> buttons. Note: Changing the time (by pressing ) will delete any automatic program.
However this had no effect whatsoever on our 2002 vintage model. Frustrated random button pushes suggested: <timer>+<cook> (two leftmost buttons together) will switch you into time set mode where you can then adjust by the <+> and <-> buttons.
