Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

1 Answer

CH-DVD 300 I can't seem to turn on the DVD player. The power light glows orange. When you push power or any of the other bottons, the light either changes to Red or Green. Is this this junk now? I noticed that there seem to be a lot of postings on this sight regarding the same problem. Any ideas?

    Just exactly same problem !!

I took it apart and checked the power supply.11.5 volts and 2.75 volts are supplied to the circuit.

Any idea what the problem is ??

Exact problem. Constant orange light that turns red or green depending on which button you press. Won't turn on. Pressing "stop" button does not reset unit as suggestions on other fix-it sites.

The problem is in the power supply board, usually caused by one or more open capacitors, sometimes leaving a bulge at the top.

Not sure, but I believe the 2.75 volts you have should be 5.0 volts.
May want to check capacitors on power supply.
The output connector on the supply may also be labeled with
the correct volatges for reference. COnstant orange light may be
indicating the +5v is low.

Disc removal/ CH-DVD 300

On the bottom of the DVD player, there is an "emergency slot." I used a knife to push the botton over which manually opens the door to get your DVD out. However, I can't turn my DVD player on either. And can't figure out what the heck to do??!?!?!?!
