I do not no the anti theft password and my friend the original owner said that he had it professionally installed and he never put in a password so now im having a problem because of this anti theft lock code and the manual said that it is 0000 and that is not working also
I called the tech support line and they told me to push and hold the mute button and then hold the power button in at the same time for about 12 seconds. after that, a new screen should show up and the code is 122164. i have not been able to get this to work yet as every time i hold the power button in, it turns it off. even though i am holding in the mute button. i thought i would let you know this incase you can get it to work for yours.

Absolutely! If the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) "thinks" you are trying to steal the car, it is SUPPOSED to keep it from starting. The problem is that the PATS thinks you are a car theif when you are not.
Below is a table straight out of the service manual for your vehicle. Please note that the FIRST action that must be taken for any PATS system malfunction is to scan the computer system for fault codes.
It is very likely that the terminal is fine. Many vehicle owners are not aware that the newer factory installed anti-theft systems will lock down the car, ( prevent it from starting ), if the battery is disconnected for more than just a couple of minutes. In the future if you need to disconnect the battery, make sure that you dis-arm the anti-theft system first
You should be able to find out how to dis-arm/over-ride the anti-theft system in your owners manual.
your owner manual tells you. Why not use the original code?
To change, here is 96 procedure, should be the same. please give good rating if this is what you want.
The system (permanent) entry code is located in three places:
on the owner's wallet code card (in glove compartment)
electronically accessible by requesting the remote anti-theft personality module KEYCODE PID on the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester
on the remote anti-theft personality module housing
The remote anti-theft personality module is programmed at the factory with a five-digit entry code. A replacement remote anti-theft personality module includes replacement labels and a new owner's code card.
To turn on the interior lamps and light all illuminated components:
press any button on the keyless entry keypad (14A626).
To program a temporary access code:
Enter the permanent code on the keyless entry keypad.
Press button 1/2 within 5 seconds of last digit of permanent code. (This alerts system to accept temporary code.)
Enter alternate five-digit code. Do not exceed 5 seconds between entering digits or between pressing the 1/2 key and entering the first digit.
