Question about Televison & Video
Suddenly one night while I was dozing in front of it, the tv screen went blank when the VCR door acted like it wanted to open. The VCR had never, ever been used; it just acted like it was trying to go into that mode. Unplugged it and got the TV back on, but it did the same thing within about 10 seconds. I tried putting a video tape in, and switching to TV mode, but the same thing keeps happening. Can you help

Usually when that happened for me, it meant that one of my small children had also put a foreign object in the slot where the VHS tape goes. Any type of obstruction will cause the VCR to jam and force the television to shut off.
