Question about Fossil CH2332 Wrist Watch

2 Answers

Second Hand I just bought this watch and set the time and noticed that the the smaller inner on the chronograph( 1/20 i think) seems to tick the seconds and not the larger normal second hand(For normal time). But when i use the stop watch functions the larger second ticks. Is this normal or am i just dumb and missing some setting i need to change ?

This is actually the way it's supposed to be. I have the same thing, and have seen other Fossil watches do this in the Fossil store. There's no setting you need to change - it's supposed to tick seconds on the bottom sub-dial & the stopwatch uses the large "seconds" hand and the left & upper sub-dial.

this is a chronograph I think and what you are referring to as the long second hand is actually the chrono hand the seconds hand is at 9 oclock on this model and the smaller hand that is moving simultanusly is actually the chrono revolution counter

Adjusting hands to markers

What you need to do is to pull the crown to step 2 (full out) and then push the chrono top chrono button. Then the second hand will start moving one tick a time all through the dial. Keep pushing it until you reach to zero. then push crown back in,, That's it.

The chronograph will only run for 59 minutes 59.95 seconds.

If you do not have a set on instructions for your watch, you can find one on their web site (citizen.com)

When there, click on "technical support" and the on "setting instructions" and fill in the number off the back of your watch.

The large second hand is actually the GMT hand for a second time zone. The second hand is the small sub dial at the 2 o'clock position. The large hand with the red arrow is the alarm time.

Tissot PRS 200 My watch is not keeping time. It is not a batery problem. I have been told that it is because the chronograph is always working. How do I shut it down ?

Your true actual time second hand is on one of your subdials. That big "second" hand is really your chronograph seconds timer. It should start and stop when you depress one of the plungers/ buttons on the side of your watch.
Again, that big hand does not need to be turning all the time (or ever if you never use your advanced stopwatch/ chronograph). The true seconds hand is very small on one of the smaller dials.
Good luck, I hope that's all it is

Invicta Speedway 9223 not keeping time

It sounds to me as it is a quartz chronograph and it is right that the centre seconds hand moves only if the pushbutton is pressed. If you look close enough, you will notice that the small subdial finger is ticking and counting seconds. It is recommended to replace battery, as sometimes watches been laying in stores for a few years before selling and the battery is flat or underpowered.

The second hand is not moving

make sure your mode is on time and not calender. if on calendar it sticks on the present month and does not move.

Chronograph hand not resetting to 12 o'clock

for my victorinox, the crown out one position and the reset button (lower chronograph button) changes the minute hand and the top (start/stop button) does the 10th's of a second...crown all the way out and top (start/stop button) does 30 second intervals for the minute counter.
