Toshiba Satellit M35X-S114 locked keyboard

Hi there. This is not forced to work but you can give it a try. Perform a forced shutdown on the laptop by holding down the on/off button until it shuts down, then take the battery out and the AC power for 10 minutes, put it all back together and try again. Please let me know how you get on. Good luck

On boot up, the keyboard freezes and so does d the mouse. it does not let me type in the password. system is Toshiba Tecra M4

Hook up an external usb keyboard.

If that works then go into the device manager and remove both the keyboard and mouse.

You might want to try a bios / firmware upgrade too. If that doesn't work then it's probably a hardware issue. It's a pretty common problem with many of the Toshiba laptops.

How about replacing the keyboard? Perhaps, something was spilled on the keyboard in the past.

Toshiba satellite m40 booting problem.

Hi! It appears that possibly your hrad drive isn't set properly in the caddy? with the laptop powered down and disconnected locate the hard drive cover pop out the two locating screws and carefully move the caddy/hard drive BEWARE as the drive has fragile pins at the opposite end where you opened, hopefully little sliding pressure should remove. Check the retaining screws around the caddy (You'll need a small torx/philips screw driver for this) if all tight replace gently.
If you are uncertain I would recommend a technician check it for you.
Good Luck!

Toshiba Laptop Keyboard problem

My Toshiba Satellite A45 S120 keyboard has a problem, some of the keys are not working. When you type it does noting. Sometimes when you start the computer, it continuously types the letter eeeeeeee. You can hit some keys randomly and this will stop, but if you start a program (eg. ms word) the same thing happens.

Hi, sounds like a loose component inside your computer. Probably not worth looking at yourself if it's in warranty, get it sent back to Toshiba.
