Question about Televison & Video
This is incorrect. i do tech work for sony and toshiba and certified for hitachi and sometimes in some model you do remove screen to change bulb depending on the size and model.. also projection units do not have "tubes" hints the reason they are called projection.. for this model you should be able to remove the speaker covers and reach the bulb from front of unit.. i dont know how C-dog got the title wiz because his suggestion is not a solution to your issue just a wrong guess.. hope this helps..

I hope you don't mean picture tube, because a picture tube is not a bulb. And if it is a bulb then there should be a door for the entrance to it. You never take off the screen to remove a bulb.
