Removing screen There is power but no picture. I think it is the bulb. How do I remove the screen to access the bulb? I know the screen comes off because I saw a repairman do it years ago when he came to service the TV. Thanks for your help. If I can access the bulb, then I can take it to a lamp specialty store to get it replaced.

This is incorrect. i do tech work for sony and toshiba and certified for hitachi and sometimes in some model you do remove screen to change bulb depending on the size and model.. also projection units do not have "tubes" hints the reason they are called projection.. for this model you should be able to remove the speaker covers and reach the bulb from front of unit.. i dont know how C-dog got the title wiz because his suggestion is not a solution to your issue just a wrong guess.. hope this helps..

I hope you don't mean picture tube, because a picture tube is not a bulb. And if it is a bulb then there should be a door for the entrance to it. You never take off the screen to remove a bulb.

Can't get anything on screen. How do I know if bulb needs replacement?

Before you go any further it might be a good idea to check for high voltage on crt surface. Take a small piece of toilet paper and see if it sticks to screen when you turn it on. If it does not then lack of HV is your issue and not your crts.

Got sound but no picture

Try removing your projector bulb and cleaning the screen between the fan and the lamp it may be overheating due to lack of cooling air causing lamp to not illuminate hope this works for you , it has for me on two occasions p.s be careful not to touch the bulb with your fingers

How do I change the bulb in my dimplex wynford inset fire?

On the back of the cabinet, about 3" to 4" up from the bottom, you should see a removable rectangular panel. Removing it, will give you access to the bulbs. Which are 60 watt, small base chandelier bulbs.
Turn the unit OFF & Unplug it, before removing the rear access panel.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Black screen on acer 242lc lights come on power up

You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

How to replace light bulb at Pfaff Creative 2124?

On these machines you cannot open the left side to remove the bulb. Your machine accessory kit should have come with a rubber tool that is ribbed with a cup-shaped opening on either end. This is a tool for removing the bulb. Tilt the machine with the base facing up so you can see where the bulb is and use this tool to twist the bulb gently. It sould come out with no problem! Hope this helps!

Vertical line down the center of screen

A WD62827 is a V30+ chassis and is a DLP format projection screen Tv, not a flat screen, am I missing something?? For the symptoms you're describing with a WD62827 remove and reseat the DVI cable between the chassis and optical engine. If removing and reseating the DVI cable does not resolve the issue you may need to replace the Optical Engine part # 938P019020
BTW the current software version for this unit is 7.04.1F if you have anything less you might think about updating the software also..
Hope this helps!
