Re: Ghosts on my tv
If you can, try hooking up the tv to a different cable line in the house or bring a different tv into the room where the bad picture is [ you may have a bad connection or wire ] if this doesn't help, try rabbit ear antennas just to get a picture. if you still have ghosts on your tv, the problem is with your tv.if the picture is fine, there maybe a problem with your cable service.
hope this helps

Try to reset first if nothing happens we proceed another solution;
Resetting the TV
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time. 1.Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 3 - 4 hours. 2.Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3.Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4.Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5.Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6.Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7.Turn on the TV.
"Floating lines" usually caused by bad cable signal. Try playing a dvd or tape. If lines are gone, tighten all cable connections. If lines are there, you could need convergence repair if any colored shadows or ghosts are visable around on screen lettering. Hope it's some help anyway.
I'm going to guess that these ghosts are of different colors too. This is most likely a convergence problem. Try resoldering the pins on the convergence ICs first. If that fails, replace them.
These ICs are large and black, attached to a heatsink. They will be marked STKxxx.

how old is the tv ??
if this tv is older than 5 years it may need to refill the liquid on the proyection bulbs and/or could have contaminats in the fluid causing the ghost and to fix that you will need a professional person to do it
