Question about HP OfficeJet D135 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When trying to scan or copy get message Scanner fail turn of power and try again
This seems to be a major problem with this ALL-in-One unit.
You need to check ALL the details at the HP website and follow instructions very carefully.
See here for your situation and the "Scanner failure". One major problem is that the unit requires the proper voltage which you may not get if you use a power strip. Do NOT use a power strip. Go straight into the wall socket and eliminate that problem first.
Resolve all hardware issues first before trying to just reinstall the software.
