"F11" is a serial communications error associated with the Central Control Unit (CCU) of the washer. This is the "brain" of the washer and often referred to as the Main Control Board or Motherboard. The error code can indicate a problem with the circuit card itself, a relay sticking on the circuit card, interconnecting wiring loose, or the door latch not latching correctly. If the problem is consistent, you may want to UNPLUG the washer & remove the top by removing the three screws in the back of the washer where the top meets the back panel. Once the screws are removed, the top should slide back then lift off. The CCU is located in the center of the washer behind the wash tub. There are a series of interconnecting cables connected to the board. Try removing these connectors (ONE AT A TIME) and re-seating them to make sure they are connected properly. Check all the connectors running to the door latch assembly as well. The latch should be behind the front panel casing on the right-hand side of the door. Make sure all the connectors are snug. Then, plug the washer back in and perform a diagnostics test by selecting DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then pushing any button under OPTIONS, 4 times (it must be the SAME button, however). "C00" will display on the washer operator console as the washer will run through a series of tests. An audible "click" will be heard when the door latch locks. This indicates that the CCU is communicating with the latch and that it is locking. The washer will then COLD FILL, HOT FILL, TEST ALL THE FEATURES OF THE DISPENSER, TUMBLE, DRAIN AND SPIN. The diagnostics tests nearly ALL the major functions of the washer. If there is a problem associated with any failed component, a fault code should appear. The test, however, is not all inclusive. Especially, if the problem is intermittent. These are the hardest type of problem to troubleshoot, because the symptoms don't always show up. If the problem continues to show up and the washer fails to complete a cycle, or is inoperative, I would replace the CCU. There are several websites that you can order parts from. The board costs about $170. If you're someone that likes to do your own repairs and wants to avoid the added labor costs of a repairman, this is MODERATE in difficulty. These machines generally cost around $1600 new. A $170 circuit board is a small price to pay in comparison and still cheaper than buying a new one. Post back with comments and let me know if you wish to pursue this repair and I can give you some info on how to order the CCU and how to replace it.

Shakes vilontly in spin cycle.

This is a known problem with these washers. Kenmore's version is 417.44102300 which I now have the exact same problem with. It bangs loudly on spin cycle and literally jumps across the floor.
We bought ours about 6 years ago. Apparently the bearings go bad and the tub becomes loose inside the washer; also, the "spider assembly" -- the arms that turn the tub -- disintegrate over time and fall apart. These are widely known defects. The manufacturer blames the use of non-HE detergent or "too much" detergent. IOW, they blame you, the user for their use of substandard design and materials.
So, the manufacturer (Frigidaire/Kenmore) will not own up to the issue and do a recall/repair. I have read where some people call Frigidaire / Sears and demand free repair but I doubt this is very successful. You are left with the option of fixing yourself (parts can be had for $200-300 but it is an intensive and very technical repair) or get a "ServiceSmart" contract from Sears for $350 which covers all repairs for a year. And you can hope nothing else goes wrong with this model after repair. I'm not sure if the replacement parts are the same or have been improved.
If the repair exceeds $500, Sears will credit you that amount toward purchase of a new washer. So that gives you a net discount of about $150 off a new washer which you can get from any halfway decent sale at other big boxes or your local appliance retailer. I am leaning toward buying a new washer on sale for about $450 + tax -- not at Sears (had enough of their dishonesty), and not a Frigidaire family product. Looking at washers from Lowe's. Good luck.

I bought the Kenmore Elite ht5 steam from a someone that bought it with a sears account with a 5 year warranty. Now suds F35 error code & sears will not repair it. The reason is that the ownership...

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

I bought a washer and dryer about 5 to 6 years ago the model number is 110 20902 990 its a kenmore im trying to see what the cu ft is on it.

Kenmore is a Sears label for many appliances and as they all have various manufacturers you can often pick up a Kenmore-owner-manual of a similar product from the original manufacturer.
As it turns out, 110 is most likely manufactured by Whirlpool.
A quick google search found that it is most likely a 3.8 cu. ft. (King Size) capacity.
I hope this helps.

I had this problem and did not have the time to fix it myself so I called Sears. The "tech" looked at his laptop, called his "supervisor" a couple of times and told my wife that both control boards needed replaced at a cost of over $500. The manuals, with testing procedures for the inclined, are on the inside, front cover.
The CE error is a communications failure and on mine it required replacement of the AVS board. I bought the part at a local supply house and replaced it myself for about $175.

6 months old. Now no water will fill drum! Works as normal but no water!

Hurlewan Your washer is still under manufacturer's warranty which is one full year. If it has Kenmore's name on it you do not need proof of purchase. The only thing you need is your mother-in-law's home phone number at time of purchase because Sears keeps all their records based on phone numbers. Good luck, Gendos post back....
