Question about Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3000 Keyboard/Mouse

1 Answer

Slow keyboard Hey, I have the Cordless Desktop MX3000 Laser. As soon as I plugged in the keyboard, I noticed that it's typing with a significant lag. The delay is approx. 30 ms behind. The keyboard is placed VERY close to the connector unit (less than 20 cm away). I have installed the SetPoint software and it didn't help. I tried connecting and disconnecting several times, switching between channel 1 and 2, to no avail. Lastly, there is a wireless router located nearby which I suspect may be partially interfering with the communication. However, the laser mouse works perfectly and very smoothly, it is only the keyboard that is misperforming. Will be glad to receive any help.

    Hey,

    Thanks!

I tried to relocate the router, even shutting it down completely, but it didn't work. I even went as far as shutting off the cordless phone in the room, just to make sure nothing wireless is working in parallel with the keyboard. Didn't work.

Eventually, I went out of the room, took my laptop and plugged in the connector via USB. The keyboard kicked in swell, but as soon as I began typing - same old lag. :(

How do I fix my mouse that is very slow responding to clicks and a lagging keyboard?

You may be running too many programs at the same time and clogging up your processor and memory. You could also be affected by any kind of virus, malware, etc. that's causing that. Or you could be just having a problem or conflict with your drivers or programs. Please get a professional to get a good look at it.

I got a used MX3200, got the mouse working right off, but no keyboard. This solved my problem: with the wireless mouse working took out the keyboard batteries, pressed connect button on the receiver, replaced the keyboard batteries, pressed connect button on the keyboard. Voila!

There are actually two 'hidden' screws under the stickers on the back of the keyboard beside the battery compartment.

Scroll wheel not responding. It may be dirty how do I clean or fix it?

Hey,

Check that scroll lock is off
also try reinstalling the logitech software incase some setting is wrong, or you could go over all your settings in the logitech program to see what could be causing it.

Heres the 3200 laser software http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/433/140&cl=us,en

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ekse

Unplug the USB (or PS/2) plug for a couple of seconds and reconnect them. That worked for me when this happened on my older Logitech keyboard.

well its normal dude, don't worry!! its the PC speaker that creates the sound..if you want, you can remove the speaker by opening the system unit tower case, locate the red twisted wire( usually the end wire has a round small black plastic plate-like structure.remove the twisted wire from the keyboard. That's it!!

Logitech wireless keyboard MX3000

pretty easy put the batteries in ( if there is any) connect to computer in the back where old one is, let the computer install
if it looks/ask for drivers put the disk in that came with it.
put the receiver on the desk and put the keyboard in view of the receiver.

Split keyboard & capslock shift function

I had a similar problem and noticed I hit the F Lock button. On mine it was a one way plunger stuck down. This caused the problems you mentioned on mine. Prying it up with a paper clip had my unit working immediately. Good luck!
