My camera was working fine a couple days ago, and now it won't even turn on. I press the On button and it makes a small glitch noise like it's about to start up, but it doesn't do anything. I can't even get into the gallery option. Could something have happened to the lens?

This error indicate that focusing ring got stuck or jammed. What you can try to do is spray some compressed AIR into the lens to try to free up any sand or dust that may have worked its way in. If that doesn't help, you can gently bump the camera to try to free the focusing ring.
or....... You can try to turn camera ON at the table (facing it to the ceiling), don't put camera down face to the floor when opening. Else your camera need to be disassembled to get at the focusing ring at Service Center. Good luck and have a nice day. Rating the solution is highly appreciated.
he red light on the front stays on but the camera won't work. i haven't dropped it or anything. It is a kodak easyshare CD43. It was working fine a couple days ago. I put new lithium batteries in and it has the same problem as before.
This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
Hi, A nice lens brush is what you clean a lens with. Solvents in the spray you used could have done a couple of bad things. 1. Carried muck into the zoom mechanism. 2. Melted/dissolved part of the zoom mechanism.
Either way, unless you are brave and capable enough to dismantle it, it needs to go back to service for a clean out/re-jig.
Press Menu button togle across from REC Mode to setup togle down thrice from camera to setup 1 togle across into sub menu togle down from four times to Initialize togle across again to the sub-menu togle up from cancel to OK press center button to accept the OK choice Screen changes and so press okay again It should restart the camera Opening on the 'Clock Set' screen togle down to cancel and use the camera and make sure that you have the camera to flash, if it works try again in the Auto function. If it is still not working do not worry follow the steps again two or three more times, As this is generally a software error message and not a hardware malfunction. If it is working then don't forget to set your Clock.
