Try printing a manual self-test page:

1. Press and hold Cancel on the control panel.
2. While holding Cancel, press Start Copy Color.

This report provides useful information about your print cartridges, including status information. If the self-test report shows a problem, clean the print cartridges.

I have a hp photo smart compact A526 photo printer that I print my pics from my android via Bluetooth (bought Bluetooth adapter) and my prints come out either blueish or greenish Any ideas what to do?

Go into the properties for the printer and run the colour diagnostics test, especially the one that tells if the ink tanks are full and that the inkjet patterns are all working.

Make sure that the colour is set to 'normal' and not a specially set up colour scheme.

My Canon MNP610 prints black instead of colours - so I get a page of black instead of a map, for example

Press file-print (if available in the application you are using) or ctrl+P.This will bring up the Canon print dialog box. Click "Preferences" Uncheck the greyscale box. you will now print in colour. Sometimes clicking on a "print" icon by-passes the dialog box. Ctrl+P always works.

Hope this helps.

Printer is not printing black but in a pinkish color

Most printers use the colour cartridge to make black, instead of the black cartridge. When you go to print a black and white document, on the box where you choose the number of pages to print, click properties, and locate the colour settings. There will be two options: Colour/Black and White-with a sub option of high quality or black only. Select Black only. The printer will now only use the black ink.

Photos shown in momitor are coloured ok but printer prints them red coloured

May be two reason for this:

1. The CMYK combination in the Pic not set correct. So edit the photo with some Tool/Software viz. Photoshop.

2. The color cartridge is going to empty, and you need to go for a new one.
