Question about Hoover Washing Machines
I have a Hoover hpe 236 front loader washing machine, it's almost 4 years old. It stops mid cycle, programme light for the start of the wash cycle flashes and it's full of water. Water won't drain away, machine stops during spin cycle. Left it unplugged all night and put it on empty this morning on and it worked fine. Put some clothes in and put it on again and it has stopped with water in drum, lights flashing and door locked. Is there something I can do myself? Is it worth getting repaired after 4 years or should I buy a new one?
Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.
