So you first install the internet explorer 5 or 6 to the second pc...........

you can download it from these websites......

www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1E1550CB-5E5D-48F5-B02B-20B602228DE6

www.softwarepatch.com/internet/ie6.html

www.stanford.edu/services/ess/pc/ie.html

and then try once........

if problem persists then reinstall win98 it takes just 10 mins...
if have important files then just give save all files.. while installing...
this will solve ur problem...
if it asks some specified file is missing then just go to first pc & give that file for search then

How to find microsoft office which i installed in my computer

You go to Local Disk drive C, Program Files, and the folder Microsoft Office contains all the installed features of Office. If you go into Office 10 folder you will find the executables for Excel, Word, Powerpoint or Access.

If you want to remove Office, remember to always go to Control Panel and Add or Remove Programs to uninstall it.

Error 1335. The Cabinet file Data1.cab required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.

When you try to install Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Office XP, you may receive the following error message: Error 1335-Cannot copy cab file Office1.cab. The file may be corrupt. When you start the computer in Safe Mode and then try to install Office, you may receive the following error message: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in Safe mode or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. You may receive this error message even when the Office CD-ROM package works correctly on another computer.

When you try to install Office while you are logged on to the computer with administrative rights, you receive the same error messages. uparrow.gifBack to the top CAUSEThis error can be caused by dirty media, CD-ROM read issues, or problems with me... loadTOCNode(1, 'cause'); This error can be caused by dirty media, CD-ROM read issues, or problems with memory allocation. uparrow.gifBack to the top WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, try the following methods. 6. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Apply.
  7. Click OK to close the System Configuration Utility dialog box.
