Dell latitude d810 will not boot up; stuck after dell logo.

could be a faulty power cable

HELLO FRIEND, THE PROBLEM WITH THE LAPTOP IS QUIT A MINOR ISSUE BUT YOU HAVE TO DO SOME SOLDERING WORK ON THE COMPUTER. THERE'S A POWER SUNG ON THE COMPUTER WHICH HAS TO BE SOLVED BEFORE IT CAN WORK WELL, AND STOP THE LIGHT OFF PROBLEM.

Yo! i think you should try something.get a friend that uses your type of adapter, try charge it with that and see if it responds.if it doesn't charge, you will have to replace your battery which means its spoilt.

AS YOU ON THE SYSTEM AND EVEN BEFORE WINDOWS STARTS KEEP PRESSING THE F8 KEY CONTINUEOUSLY. A MENU WILL APPEAR. SELECT SAFE MODE AND ENTER. WINDOWS WILL LOAD IN SAFE MODE. THIS WILL SOLVE SOME OF YOUR PROBLEMS. NOW RESTART THE SYSTEM IN NORMAL MODE.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK SELECT "LOAD WINDOWS WITH LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION " AND THEN RESTART. THIS WILL SURELY SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM.

Did you check your battery LED light or Motherboard?
May be you need a dell latitude d610 battery?

After a lot of research and many attempts to unlock my Dell Laptop with bios password, while talking to Dell Support, I finally found this website www.biosunlock.com

Get a 90w adapter is the only resolution. The D810 on a 65w adapter will:

1. Disable the battery charger
2. Run slower due to throttling

The 65w adapter MAY charge the battery if the computer is not running (Not sure on that)

From your description, it sounds like a motherboard failure. Generally about $100 on Ebay.

Try to clean the laser within the dvd drive with a soft material. If this doesn`t work, try to hear if the cd or dvd is rotating in the drive. If not, the drive should be repaired b specialists.
