Question about Linksys WIP320

1 Answer

Phone is getting hot

I bought a linksys phone from skype , I used it about 10 times. the last time I used it to make a call I noticed it was getting warm/hot under the screen.
Today I wanted to use the phone again, it was fully charged when I placed the call. The person I wanted to reach was not available so I hang up. About 30 minutes later I wanted to try again only to find that the phone was rather hot more then just warm, also the battery was almost completly drained.

10-15mins over the time is usually ok but sounds like you have a small problem

first i would check the outlet hose, make sure it is not pushed too far down the waste pipe, if so siphoning will occur which slows machine down.

another cause could be the water pressure coming into the machine, may not be as strong than your last house hence will take longer filling. you may notice washing powder not getting washed away too well??

I would change the thermostat and if the gauge still acts up you may want to check the gauge, the fan is hooked up to a senor and will come on at a certain temp, usually when it gets hot. Hope this helped Tim

"please upgrade your operating system"

I had the same problem. Bought a CIT300 off ebay. Cisco/Linksys no longer provide drivers for this device. I'm running Windows 7. I downloaded a driver from Softpedia, says it is from Microsoft dated 7/12/13 version 6.1.7601.18208. It solved my problems. Hope this helps.

Phone disconnected ver cit200

I got the same problem with my CT200 when I updated for Vista. (disconnected) The solution I found is: I avoid logging on to MSN. If the problem still persists I take out the batteries from the phone wait for 10 seconds , reinsert them and the phone works. Hope this helps.

Problems with linksys phone starting up and making calls using it

I'm just guessing here but, you'll have better luck if you don't go through a hub. Give the CIT devices direct connections to the computer. Also, some systems have better/faster usb ports on the back of the pc and lesser ones on the front. I think this is no long tru on newer systems. ..You may also want to go through the device manager, delete the CIT and rescan so it'll reinstall it.. maybe better. When you do that, be sure the CIT is connected. ..maybe this'll help your situations. The software needs to have been installed prior to re-installing via the device manager.

LG viewty ku990 - no battery life and phone gets really hot

Hi

I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me. I had the same problem, with phone not holding charge and getting really hot both during and after complete charge.
I needed my memorycard from my LG to my other phone, so I took it out, and off course the phone needed to be charged so I charged it, and... it did not get hot at all, and when it was finished, the charge lasted a day and a half!! Now the problem is I cant use the memorycard anymore in my Viewty :S Win/Loose situation i guess....
