Check your power saving setup and see if it is set to lower screen resolution and brightness when running on either battery or A/C. Try resetting all the controls on power saver to default.

You have a brightness control on the NEC. Press blue Fn key (on bottom left) and the blue icon on the F key row that has brightness. Press both and hold.

Look in Control Panel/System to see if the graphics drivers are installed.

Sound NEC vy13M/RF-U

NEC vy13m/RF-U is a laptop battery model #, not the model of the laptop. As for the ATI Radeon 7000 PCI graphics card, they don't supply audio if you're having sound problems. I would check the audio drivers in Device Manager.

Graphics card

This could because your graphics cards settings are for some reason on the highest performance and your system can't handle it.
Did your graphics card come with any drivers if so try and change the performance of your graphics card, preferbly to a low performance then try it.
If your graphics card didn't come with any drivers provide me with the Model and manufacturer of the graphics card and i will find you the correct driver for it.
