Question about Asko W6221 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Continous fill & No Spin cycle

The machine sounds like it is continous filling. The dial stops on the fault code "C" setting. The filling sound is constant regardless of where the dial is set or even if the maching is plugged in or not? I have cleaned out the Pin Trap...which made no difference.

Is there water running in all the time? If so turn off each supply valve to the washer to see which one stops the flow or sound. The valve on that line in the machine is not closing. Taking it apart and cleaning it may work but normally you can get a kit to repair these for just a few dollars and the complete valve assy which replaces both is not very expensive. You might be able to get a good used part off of another unit at a salvage yard. Most of them are the same inside and replace one another.

Washer completes cycle 100% but then it restarts and starts filling all over again/ rewashes in essence

Dear William, I guess first you have to check if the start switch is shorted. When you turn on the machine, does it automatically go into cycle? If yes, then your start switch is faulty. Otherwise, you may have to replace your timer/sequencer.

Washer stopped at the drain cycle Model LSR8233JQ1

Could be either a bad lid switch or a bad water valve.
Set the timer dial to SPIN and turn the machine on.
If it spins the lid switch is OK. If it does not spin the lid switch must be replaced.
Next, set the timer dial on a wash cycle and set the water temperature knob to COLD water. If it fills, the lid switch is bad. If it does not fill the water valve is bad or the cold screen filter is clogged.
If the COLD does not fill, turn off the cold water faucet. Remove the cold water hose from the machine water valve and check for a clooged screen.
If it does not fill with COLD water and the screen is clear, replace the water valve.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Either you have a faulty module or timer switch the dial used to set the wash program. If for any reason it ha been turned in the wrong direction your machie can behave exactly as you describe. Hope this helps.

Washer continues to work even if water is not filled to top and even if i try to stop continues to spin

A defective pressure switch can interfere with the cycles that depend upon the switch to indicate when water has filled or emptied from the tub. It can also result in underfilling or overfilling of the tub. The switch routes current from the timer control to the temperature switch and the water inlet valve when the tub needs to be filled. Once full, the pressure switch cuts the current and reroutes it to the motor on the timer control to continue the cycle.

Whirlpool filling and washing, not draining, rinsing or spinning

Check out your outlet filter, probable it is clogged. Clean this out and refit. Most cases when the drain or spin does not work, it is the filter. This is a suggestion.
