Error in play crysis 2 unsupported videos card

It looks like your card is below the minimum requirements for this game. You will need a faster (newer) card to run this game. It's not surprising, as many of these shooters have very high system requirements, and your 3-4 year old card probably wouldn't cut it even if it did work.

The good news is that a new card will run it faster and look better. Since your old card is PCIE 2.0 compatible, make sure that your new one is also 2.0 compatible. (Unless you know for sure that the mainboard supports PCIE 2.1) PCIE 2.0 cards will work on 2.1 mainboards, but the opposite is not true.

Here is the link to Crysis 2's minimum specs:

I have nvidia 8400gs and m not able to play crysis 2 ,it says"unsupported video card found" need some help

It's exactly as it says. The Video card is not supported. It's not powerful enough to make the game run. According to it's official minimum system requirements, It needs 8800 or better.
I've seen videos on youtube with hacks & overclocks that made it actually RUN but 15fps for a first-person shooter is basically "UNPLAYABLE", as they say.
If you're really bent on getting it to run on your current display adapter, try updating the drivers and if you DO manage to make it run, the frame rate is like watching a slideshow. With a better graphics card, not only will it stop giving you that "unsupported" error, it will actually run and be playable.

What drivers will Crysis 2 could work? because I have an ATI Radeon HD 5450 but it says unsupported video-card etc. ; what would I do?

The Radeon HD 5450runs Crysis 2 well.

Just because the game manufacturer states that they have not specifically certified the game to run on your card does NOT mean that the game won't run.

Now that we know for sure the game will run with your video card, if there are issues running it we can look in to other possible causes.

Overclock fan speed question

The amount that you can overclock you're video card differes for each individual card. The limiting factors are temperatures and stability. If games start crashing, etc you should back off the overclocking. Also keep in mind the temperature of the card. Increasing fan speeds will lower the temperatures of the card. Increasing the fan speed (as long as you don't go beyond 100%) will not damage the card... It will be louder though. For the 9800gt, the maximum temperature before damage is 105 degrees C. Try to keep the temperatures at 80 or below optimally. Increasing the fan speed is the best way to accomplish this.

Hp pavilion dv9720us upgrades

this is the spec on your machine:

Dual core/64-bit processing: The 2GHz Turion 64 X2 TL-60 has two processing engines that work in tandem, providing much more power than standard 2GHz processors. This processor is also capable of processing 64 bits of information at once, twice as much as standard 32-bit processors.
* This laptop features 2GB of DDR2 system memory, which you upgraded to 4 gig.
this is from the Crysis web forums:
Q: Well, can you give us ANYTHING with specs?
A: This is unofficial speculation, but with a 7800/x1800 or better you'll really be enjoying Crysis as it'll look fantastic. Slower cards will run the game as well, but you'll be turning something off.
Update: Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek, has recommended an Intel Core 2 Duo e6600 processor and an Nvidia Geforce 8800 and at least 2GB of RAM to get the best experience out of Crysis.

It may be that you choose an amd machine over an intel there are differences hardware concerned, in these two processor types, I don't think the processors are your problem, it has far more processing power than you need even for this game. the video card seems to be good as well plenty there to run and with vista you should be getting the dx 10 advantage. so have you looked at your isp speed? there could b a bottleneck in that and not your machine.

Nvidia 6600 256 mb agp

Check the temps of your card using rivatuner and the cpu with speedfan to see if they are overheating.

Are you running either overclocked?

Overclocking failed

Hi, If you have overclocked: 1. CPU or motherboard not up to it - run at default speed; or 2. Memory - try using other memory; or 3. Video Card - see if you can run the Video card at default speed and not with overclock speed; or 4. You may need to up the CPU B+ a bit. If not overclocked: a. Set BIOS/CMOS to default settings; or b. Disable any overclocking feature (even if not used); or c. Lower you CAS latency. Hope this be of some help/idea. ood luck and kind regards.
