I was working on the pc, then it froze! I turned it off. When I turned it on, the pc comes on, but no display. I've changed the memory, video card, psu.. Now I'm stuck!!

You should be more specific next time - is it a laptop or a desktop computer, do you have additional graphics card, etc? I've already googled for a PC type. You have a desktop PC which comes with integrated graphics. It has two video ports onboard - VGA and HDMI. Which one did you try? It could also be that you have additional graphics card installed. In this case integrated graphics card is turned off automatically. Sometimes people accidentally connect their display to the wrong port - you should check that. It could also be, that you don't see any video output, because of faulty hardware like RAM, CPU or the Motherboard. Do you hear any beeps or other sounds during startup?

Possible that PC is hanging up as there is fault on the back up battery ( CMOS) , if this has low voltage or the memory card is a suspect. In this case you need to check the voltage and also try and swap a memory card. Sometimes the memory card connections can be faulty either on the card or on the slot. Cleaning the slot and card must be done before you try a replacement. If the Pc boots and fails then the hard disc can have bad sectors or is corrupt. Also connect an external monitor to confirm if the display terminal works or if the monitor has issues . If there is no display check the SMPS- power supply, the connectors and the memory card.Check again the memory card on another PC.

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

First eject the graphics card from motherboard and try to get display from on board display port. If display comes from it then there is problem in your graphics card or in card slot. And also try to use the card on any other pc because some time due to electric fluctuation setting have changed and it did not work on your motherboard So its better to connect it on any other motherboard or pc.

You need to check your video card. Check if it is still ok and functioning properly. You can also try checking your memory card. that are the two pieces usually causes that problem. Try this :

1. Double check the cable that connects the monitor and video card. Remove the connection of your monitor to your CPU (the video card cable is what i mean) then turn on your monitor. If the monitor displays a message like this " Check signal cable" it means it is working fine and there is a problem in your CPU.

2. This step is just for PC that are using PCIE or AGP video card,not built in there motherboard. Remove your video card if you have a PCIE or AGP video card, using an eraser (pencil eraser) you can clean the connectors of your video card (the coppers that is use to connect it to motherboard).

3. Try to remove your memory card. And the same as what you do in your video card, use an eraser to clean up the copper connector of your memory.

4. Put it all back in place. Make sure it is properly connected. Then turn on your computer.

If your monitor is still not working, you may use an internal speaker so that you can check if there is a problem in your motherboard.

GO to control panel - system - device manager - display and see if your video card is shown then try to reinstall drives or the latest drivers

If the beeping is constant, check your keyboard for any keys that are stuck in the depressed position.

Go with the obvious solution. The camera only lets the computer read the card and delete pictures. It does not let you write to the card.

Be aware that if you've edited the photos in any way (opening a photo in a photo editor and then saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera may not display the picture.

what version of windows ... start in safe mode does it still happen... does it shut down or reboot ... most common cause of this issue is a driver conflict ... if it is not a driver conflict check the display drivers ... if updating or reinstalling display driver does not work it may be the video card ... if the video is integrated install a expansion board vid card and disable the onboard video ... if the card is not integrated remove it ... restart ... shut down and replace it then boot again ... if you have a newer system check the video card fan which may be $#$@ up and overheating ... if you cant trace it to hardware try using a boot cd .. one of the linux cds ... if it is ok with an alternate OS try doing a OS repair on windows .. the other possibility is a memory issue if it is a cheap mobo with shared video ram...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that the MB or the processor just took a dive on you. Most likely the processor... as you are able to power up. If it were the memory or the video card, you would hear a series of beeps when trying to start the computer. And you already verified the monitor is fine.
