Dawn of war help?

I have dawn of war:dark crusade and I downloaded a mod for it.I got fed up of the mod and deleted it out of my game directory.by mistake I deleted the main folder (well i think it was the main folder) and then (thinking it was the mod) deleted it out of the recycling bin! Now when I try to start the game it doesn't start up (it gets as far as the title screen ,just before the main menu) Ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it but it's just the same......Thanks in advance.

You need to get rid of the registry entry this is why it wont function
goto search engine and search for regvac its free registry cleaner
first though uninstall game if you cant, just delete all files and folders pertaining to game. use regvac in novice mode clean registry and then reinstall. there may just be some old modded info in /programs/game folder that are not being overwritten by fresh install.
by removing and cleaning registry you basically make your pc think the game has never been installed and starts fresh.

You don't have to do any special settings in your router, only settings required in the game for lan connection. But wireless connection is much slower then a wired connection.

XP, Windows Vista, Windows ME, Windows 7, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows 95Solution :Step 1: Use search function for "Download Youtube " and Savetubevideo" files. Delete all those file and shortcuts.

Step 2: Go to C:\Program Files. At "Download Youtube Free", right click on mouse and go to 'Properties' and uncheck 'Read Only'. Check yes to change all inside folders and files. Delete ALL the files in there. There will be one ***.dll file cannot be deleted. Rename the particular file to "111.xxx"

Step 3: Backup bookmarks from Firefox and uninstall Firefox on Control Panel.

Step 4: Go back to C:\Program Files and delete folder "Download Youtube Free"

Step 5: Go to C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch and delete any filename with "Download Youtube Free" or similar name to that.

How do I change WHERE a file automatically downloads to?

What browser are you using? Internet Explorer or Firefox or Googlechrome? etc..etc..?

For internet explorer 8, click start (Run) or simply type in "regedit" in the Run box (windows xp) or Search box (windows vista and 7), and then on the regedit, locate this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer then open Download and again on the right pane, you'll be able to see "Download Directory" double-click it and change the directory to whatever you want, lick if you want to download set it to D: drive, type in D:\Download (download as the folder name), click "Ok" and you are done, the default download folder/directory has been changed.

If your browser is Firefox, click Tools, then Options and again on the General tab, locate download, then "Save files to" then click "Browse" and locate the folder or directory where you want to save all the downloads.

In Googlechrome, simply click the settings "icon" on the extreme-top right corner (spanner icon), select "Options" and on the "under the hood" tab, scroll down to the middle and locate "Download" then click "Browse" and locate the directory/folder where you want to save the downloads, click "Ok" to select the folder.

If you need further help, let me know with the name of the browser you are using. I'll upload some well illustrated photos if you want.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a 3347 motorola modem and I have two

If you have a Private IP address from the Modem like 192.168.1.65. 10.10.10.254, 192.168.2.45, etc.... the the NAT will be an issue, for games like Dawn of Death 2 which need more Bandwidth when joining the Game Server the WAN IP address which is from your Modem need to Public like 65.24.85.148, 72.54.36.94, etc... if you have a WAN IP address then check the Firmware of your router and if possible get the specific port number from the Game Administrator and open it on your router so that you wont have NAT issues.

Not the best gaming router out there would not use it for battlenet or war 3 to boot. I would get linksys gaming router by linksys. But to solve you problem you need to run your computer in dmz gamming mode also try any new firmware out there and see if that helps if not part with the netgear and get a linksys gameing router you be glad you did.

I cannot play online games and whenever I download programs they are corrupted, can my router firewall cause this?

Router firewall might be a cause, but most likely is the file you are downloading is not getting downloaded properly.

It is also likely that if you are downloading cracked version of games then your computer anti virus is deleting certain files which are cracked, because crack is also a virus.

On the firewall settings page, (http://gateway.2wire.net/xslt?PAGE=E02&THISPAGE=E01&NEXTPAGE=E02)
set your computer to "DMZPlus Mode"
Warning: use this only when playing online games. When you're done, disable this mode.
