I have tried the above solution, but has made no difference. I have purchased new memory and tried in all slot configurations, but this has not solved the problem. The only difference is that now the battery charge light is on. Please help, I do not want to waste much more money on the problem.

This is a video card error. you need to replace the mother board as the video card is built-in.
this could happend because of the exssesive heat.
I have the same problem and I'll try to do something in the next few weeks.

You have to check that whether the RAM is ok.
If you had two RAMs, remove one RAM chip, and check.
If not ok do the vice versa and check with the other chip.
This should help you.

Laptop not booting up and orange light flashing

If you are computer savvy, remove the memory sticks and hard drive, fit a new backup cell and power it on empty.
If it loads to no OS on screen, add memory and check again.
If it now fails, replace the memory otherwise fit the hard drive and repeat the test.
That will let you know which way to go about repairing.

My medion desktop model pc mt 14 wont switch on from the mains

Whenyou plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, wherethe plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, then Pressand Hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the powercord back in and hit the power button to see if it boots.

Maybeyour memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Removethe Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set thechip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you knowthe memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and tryrebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put theother chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just toverify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the openmemory chip slot and try booting.
Maybeyour power supply is bad. Sometimes there is enough power to make thepower light come on but not enough power to make the fan turn on or harddrive spin.

Toshiba satellite A50 error code

try removing the memories, hard drive, optical drives and power on your computer. if the computer beeps it is an indication that your computer is working and one of the remaining part could be causing the no boot. if after removing all the parts your computer will not beep or the flashing amber light will not change it looks like you will need to replace your motherboard

Laptop keeps beeping and not turning on

I think you may mean the Hard Disk light not floppy, although, if you have a floppy disc drive, check there's no floppy disc in it as it will stop the boot up. But if it's not the floppy, and the hard disc drive light stays on, possibly the hard drive is faulty, maybe damaged sectors. The other maybe is a possible memory fault, although the beep codes can only be identified if you know the motherboard make. Your rating are important.
