Dual or double layer burning

my benq dvd dw1610 won't burn files bigger than 4.7gigs for some stupid reason, but the funny thing is, it has dual layer/ double layer capabalities.

is there something i can do besides buying a new burner?

- single layer 4483 mb if u want to burn dual layer switch 8152 mb hope this will fix.. good luck..
