Wharfedale SLM 01 MP3 Player

I have recently been given a Wharfedale SLM 01 MP3 player and despite my entire family trying to get it to work it is just not happening. The problem is that when I copy music onto it the files are not recognized however the booklet states that the file type I am using (WMA) is completely fine. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

A day or so ago mine updated itself and rearranged it's file hierarchy.
A new filefolder :- MTPMEDIA was created to take the existing files/folders in the music section.
Now runs great, 4GB for about £13 - a bargain !

After having had problems with this piece of junk for 3 months now, it has finally died. It is going back to Argos asap. I would like a refund, but suspect I'll get a replacement offered. :o(

Thank you for your offer of help but after nearly pulling my hair out I decided to take it back and get a different MP3 player that was much better and came at the same price

Sorry I cannot offer any advice on the subject.

You insert an optical disc with digital photos from your most recent family vacation and discover that your computer will not read the optical disc. What might be wrong?

What type of computer is it? The question is posted under Apple iPod shuffle MP3 Player. If the disk was given to you from a professional photographer, it may be a copyrighted disk. Where did the photos come from that are on the disk... i.e. brand of camera?

The better the problem is described, the better the solution.

I am not able to download music files from my computer onto my wharfedale mp3 player. ModelSLM 01

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :-

My creative Zen wont sync.

Hi I have creative zen touch mp3 player.

I dodn't know if this will help your problem but what i did to mine was; I tried to use the audio sync button (function) in the creative organizer which you should install from the installation disc, when you get when you buy the mp3 player.

I wanted to sycn across songs from my computer onto onto the mp3 player but it didn't work.

Then i realised my mp3 player was low on battery so i plugged it into the mains and tried again. That helped but also i kept unplugging and replugging the player until it says 'docking' on the player screen using the usb lead from player into cpu unit and, this i found worked and solved my problem. And now it sycns my songs over to my player now.

My only problem now is that my scroll touch pad isn't working, and hasn't worked for years- as i left it for years cause that was the problem i had in the first place.

P.S I also i read this,
