I am having xp as well as 98 os on my computer. the sound icon in xp is proper but in 98 is giving error with yellow highlight and ? sign. not able to hear the sound. Need driver on the same.

You have dual OS on your system, the "yellow sign" indicate that the drivers for Win98 is not properly installed.

You have to reinstall the sound drivers for Win98. What is the model/Name/brand of your motherboard or sound/audio device before we can help you to locate the drivers for Win98.

Error when installing mastercook 6 on my vista laptop

hi there.
mastercook 6 runs on older windows versions
like win95, win98 and win Millenium Edition
only, newer are not supported.sorry

MasterCook deluxe 9.0 supports win2000, XP and VISTA, but this would mean spending another 19.99 on amazon.

you could try to install the 6.0 version on an older machine that still has win98 on it or think about setting up a multi-boot system (u need some computer expertise)so you can install multiple operation systems on your laptop, but this takes a lot of effort and all the drivers for your computer for win98, so spend of whatever you have more of, time or money...

good luck!

This issue may occur if a Microsoft .NET Framework file is being used when you try to install Office 2003. For example, this issue may occur if the Mscoree.dll is being used when you try to install Office 2003.

To work around this issue, restart the computer. Alternatively stop Windows Installer.

If these actions do not resolve the problem, repair the existing installation of the .NET Framework. Alternatively troubleshoot .NET Framework installation issues.

How to install os

This is a little difficult but it can B done :) Firstly I dunno if ya need to re-format ya drive? perhaps first ya could try to "Repair" of Win98? If that doesn't work, then, perhaps ya may have to re-format. If the Win98 is on a SEPARATE drive or Partition this also makes a difference.... Basically ... repair/re-install win98, then do a repair of ya Boot menu for XP, as Win98 sets up an incorrect Boot up for XP, and thus must be "Fixed" so XP will boot & show a Dual boot menu.. here are some links to help you step by step... http://pcworld.about.com/magazine/2109p156id111652.htm http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/ew/2004/08/30/stories/2004083000250400.htm
