My samstron monitor goes dead after 5 min

Hi,

The problem is not yet serious, no parts yet to replace. That is a result of a "cold solder" of the parts inside. Open the case, clean it with a soft brush and look for these cold solders on the circuit board... resolder what you find and check every pin...

see picture, the rings are somewhat the start of disconnected pin from being soldered.



After that test the monitor..... That's it... Fixya me okay...

The problem is with the picture tube...the electron gun might not be getting the required power to keep it running 4 along time...hence the electrons are not hitting the screen..get it replaced if u stil hav warranty
