Electrolux esl624 heater element replacement

Could anyone give me any tips on replacing the heater element on my Electrolux esl624 dishwasher?
The current element appears to have burst and fuses the house every time I turn it on. The element is split and blackened near where it plugs into the base of the washer.
I'm guessing the job wont be too difficult but am wondering how accessible the bottom of the element is?
Cheers......

Open the door remove the plinth (2 screws) then there is 2 screws higher up remove these (some people remove outer door panel to get easy access) then leaver the front plate up. then you can see the wires on the heater and the bolts are between them. hope this helps

Esl624 tripping fuse even when off

Hi. Your dishwasher has probably a leak on the pressure side of the circulation and spraying water over all the electrics including the mains filter. this will trip the electrics without being switched on. It needs to dry out and the leak fixeded. check the hose from the cartridge heater to the top spray arm hose. You will need someone with insulation teater to test all components for earth leakage. good look.

Dishwasher stopped heating. PCB is fine with no signs of damage. Is there a resettable thermostat or is it a bung water heater?

Check the spray arms are not clogged as well as the top one take off the bottom one clear a hole underneath the arm. make sure the arms can turn freely. dishwasher fresheners hanging on the basket can stop the arm turning. clean the filter in the bottom. Is the machine heating it should be hot at the prog end.

First I would look for very oddly placed screws. If there are none, try pulling the wood on the underside with a pair of pliers until you can tell where the tension is coming from. If it is glued on there....well you may want to use a hammer and chisel and visit www.applianceart.com for a stainless panel to replace the old one. Probably not much help but thought I would try.

before you operate the dishwasher get your water as hot at the sink as you can this will prevent filling the dish washer with cold water and i would use powder or liquid now if you not sure of your heating element turn your washer to dry close the door for about 2-3 minutes get a glass of cold water open the door and pour water on the element if it sizzles its working
