Your trying to run your computer off the E drive? You have to completely reinstall the Operating System if you want to do that. I would put a lot of files from My Documents and your Desktop to the E drive. If you want to install programs on there, you have to first un-install them from your C drive and reinstall them on your E drive (there is an option to do that when installing the program. Just change the "C:\..." to "E:\...".

Firelite 49 GB is no longer recognized by my PS3

hi,
it's cause when you formatted the disk, you choose to use ntfs file system and ps3 can only read fat32.
when you format a hard disk or eaven a usb drive you can choose wich fort to use.
there are different tipe, most common are fat, fat32, and ntfs.
most actula operating system uses ntfs, but fat32 is still he more compatible.
reformat your hard drive as follow:
got to "my computer" on your desktop, right click on your hard drive and choose format.
a window should pop up.
under file system chose fat32.
leave untouched all other fields.
you could perform a quick format, but i suggest a full complete format, so leave all untouched and wait till end.
now it should work.
regards,
Paolo.

If this doesn't work try another USB slot for the dard drive. Some of your USB slots may be defective.

AUTOMATIC BACKUP TO EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE (FIRELITE)

The first thing that comes to mind is the Firelite has become full and can not accept any more backup data.
Delete the data on the Firelite and try running your backup again. If it works then that was the problem.
The backup software should have a configuration setting somewhere that allows it to automatically delete older data and keep it from filling up.
