Question about Computers & Internet

The driver of the Belkin Print Server is only suiteble for Windows 2000 SP4 and/or Windows XP

I tried to install a Belkin Wireless Print server at a win2003 server. The printserver is compatible for a HP2840 MFP and the installation seems to be succesfull (I have downloaded the driver for WIN2003 like the Belkin Servicedesk told me). But, when i want to print a testpage i recieve the following error:

The driver of the Belkin Print Server is only suiteble for Windows 2000 SP4 and/or Windows XP.

The Belkin Servicedesk is not supporting WIN2003. Can anybody please help me to fix this problem?

Hi friends i am using hp compaq presario cq61-132tu ......is it possible to install 2003 server in that laptop........if it possible i need 2003 dirvers

If the laptop handles XP, then you won't have any problems running a 2003 server too. And you can use the XP drivers without any problems. Just make sure you have the drivers on your hard drive or USB stick before you do the reinstall.

Blue screen when loading windows 2003 server

if you get the blue screen code and type it in www.dogpile.com you can find some answers there, i would sugest that you reset all the bios settings to factory default, that normaly fixes the bluescreen on instalations, you may need the motherboard drivers for the sata and put them on floppy for the system to install the hard drive drivers.
one problem i do come accross is that sata drives are funny so in most bios settings there is a sata setting that switches back to IDE it was for backward compatability problems.
good luck

The files with extensions *.exe don´t run.

For one I would upgrade to Win XP at the very least, maybe even to windows 7.
Win2k has been retired for a while now and you will have inc4reasingly more problems with not being able to see things on the web as your 6.0 browser is outdated and retired as well. There are no IE browsers that will work with Win 2k and your will need to do a re-install of your OS because it sounds like you have a virus or a multiple infection of viruses

Your Lexmark X3500 has an optional wireless feature that is Upgradeable to 802.11g wireless networking. It is a Lexmark N2050 802.11b/g Wireless Network Card (14T0300) and maybe ordered here.

We need to print from wireless laptop .help please

Hi,

I am assuming that:
1. There is installed a shared printer in one of the other computers in your network; or
2. The shared printer is connected to a Wireless USB Printer Server;
3. The laptop can connect to the network and is authorized to access/use shared resources.

Procedure would be identical to installing a printer. Follow on screen instructions. Click on Start, Printers & Faxes, Add a Printer, Next, tick "A network printer....", tick "Browse for a printer", Next, Select printer choice, Next, OK, make default, print test page. It might take a bit of time while drivers are copied from the printer server to your laptop. In some printer that is directly connected to the network, you need to pop in the CD that came with that printer and install. Thereafter, you need to change the port setting in the Printer Properties to TCP/IP and point to the assigned IP address of the printer.

Hope this be of some help/idea. pls post gain how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
