I bought the Innovage keychain also, and was frustrated because I couldn't get the cd to work, and the software on their site wouldn't install...I would get an error everytime and on all of my computers. I had it packaged up to return and I did a google search on keychains that were Mac compatible and came across this site:http://www.digitalfoci.com/support.html On the bottom of the page is a link for their software...the same picture view, but it must be a different version because it installed and i was able to transfer photos to the keychain. I hope it works for you. I know how frustrated you must be.
What's going on with these photokeychains? I've spent hours trying to install this and my computer will not pull up my photo album. Can't get through to the 800 # and you have no solution. What are we as the customer supposed to do?
Make sure that the usb driver is the correct one for your operating system. I realized that Innovage packed an absolete win98se in my package. I needed winXP usb driver.
The software doesn't use the "My Documents" shortcut, so it doesn't open in the "My Documents" directory in which "My Pictures" usually resides. The file browser opens, by default, to the program directory (C:\Program Files\Photo Viewer). Simply use the explorer tools to go "up" to C:\ (the root directory), then find the directory "My Documents" and within that "My Pictures"
found that on another site - after I had the same trouble - this software really works - updated the pic frame in no time :)
IT IS an easy fix...uninstall the Picture Viewer that you got from the Disc they gave...Throw it away. Go to www.mscustomercare.com at the top of the keychain section, it says "download".............. THIS version works.
Your computer will certainly have its own program for viewing photos. For example, if you are using Windows XP, you just right click on a photo file and choose "preview".
It can be difficult to find the photos on your computer if you have been using one of the silly organizers that come with cameras. You can search for a photo if you know its filename or for *.jpg to find all the photos on your hard drive.
but another person has the same windows as me and she got hers to work.
