To install new software

I tried to install new software for my pocket pc. i am getting an error message that this not a pocket pc application, when i trie to install new software which is running in other hand sets like nokia or sony ericson. have any software spcially for my pocket pc ? how i get it?

Nowadays PDAs and Smartphones come with different operating systems. Nokia and Sonyericcson use the Symbian based software. You have indicated your model group as i-mate. It comes with Windows CE pocket PC edition which is totally different than Symbian. There are many softwares available. what kind of software do you need? You can proceed to download.com and choose the category as Windows CE or Pocket PC you will see alot of applications

Your error message will have a file name with it, below is an example of the error.

Media Name:Data
Component:TypeSpt\CommonCMap
File Group:Reqrd Common CMap
File:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Fonts\Reqrd\Base\pfm\COBO__.PFM

The file COBO_.PFM is the file causing the issue in this case. Check the file name in your error message. Goto the location mentioned in your error and cut and paste the file on your documents folder.

E.g. "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Fonts\Reqrd\Base\pfm\" as in this error.

Try reinstalling the Photoshop.

In my nokia 7610, when trie to install an application the installer closed immadiately.The installer does not working with some applications. How to manage this problem..?
Update your phone software if updates are available ( install Nokia software installer on ur PC check for updates) .Don't forget to Backup your phone.

Try to install the new software and see if it will uninstall it for you, or upgrade it to the new. If not then try to find the folder the old program is in and see if there is an uninstall program, if so run it, if not then try to delete that folder and then install the new software.

Barbie Girl mp3- application wont start up
Try restarting your PC once the software has been installed.

I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas. I didn't bother installing the software that came with the player. Windows Media Player automatically recognised the device allowing me to transfer music to it.

Cannot install application on my pda2k
You need to check whether it's an .exe file or a .cab file. If it's a .exe you need to first install it on your pc nad then via activesync install it on your PDA2K. If its a .cab file you should be able to install it directly on th PDA2K. ps If you try to run the .cab file on your PC it will say its not a valid apllication with the corresponding windows error code.

HI You have two ways: 1) Install the ActiveSync (Version 4.2 is recommended) PC Software with your PC first Next, you connect your Axim to your PC. Then you install the software or game into your PC. it will also install into your Axim automatically thru Sync process. 2) Or install the software or games into your External SD Memory card thru USB SD Card reader. Then put your sd memory card into your Axim and run the software or game. The 2GB or 4GB SD Card is reccommended since the game or software sometime is huge. I hope it is help. Regards, pingping

I'm a little confused. Most of the encoding programs I know like Pocket DVD Studio or Pocket DVD Wizard are programs you run on your PC (not the iPaq) in order to create a file which you eventually download to your card and play with Betaplayer.
