Try this, it should reset your machine.
Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.

    1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
    2. Find the button below the word Auto.
    3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.

    4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
    5. Press the green [Start] button.
    6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
    7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
    8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time

I have this problem on an AL-1551CS. It started after a new drum was fitted. I have tried the procedure mentioned several times. The copier resets O.K., but after several seconds, the H4 error returns.

H4 is a Fuser Unit heating problem.
This reset is for another model sharp, see if it will work for you.

Press "Clear", "Auto Exposuer", "Clear", "Auto Exposure", the display will go dead... then press "14" (Like your going to make 14 copies), then press "Start".

Hope this works.
Good luck,
Mac

H4 Displays

H4 indicates "low temperature", possibly caused by a failure of the heater lamp or fuser. Sometimes this error is shown without an actual damage when the power cord is pulled without shutting down the copier first.

To cancel the error code, press [CLEAR], [AUTO], [CLEAR], [AUTO] in rapid succession. The display should go blank. Next, select 14 (clear low temperature code), press [START]. Finally, switch off and on the machine.

If there was no actual damage (i.e. power cord pulled), the machine should be OK again. If the error persists, immediately or after short time of operation, you will need to contact Sharp technical service for repair.

Tip

HOW TO REDUCE CHANCES OF H4 CODE IN SHARP COPIERS

The code H4 is common to all Sharp copiers. This occurs due to abnormal low temperature being sensed by thermistor. This means that the heater lamp which generates heat around the fuser rollers is either not working or producing very low heat. Low heat generated comes from low power output in the mains so, when you suspect low voltage, always switch off your copier and wait for normalcy. You can see from dim bulbs and know that's low voltage.

Sharp copier SF-2025 displays an error code H4

H4, not heating up, replace fuser unit complete or work with hivolts and replace an expensive and tricky lamp/thermister . wont be cheap.

. Here use the reset for it first, sometimes power surges can just flip them out but most times will just reappear shortly after reset, indicating the want of a working fuser assembly

Fuser (not fuse) is the hot bit with rollers at paper exit if code fails it needs to be replaced, wont come cheap no matter how you approach it

C-Exposure key-C-Exposure key-14-copy key to clear ... but it will come back I bet...

Xerox Workcentre Pro16fx - H4 error code after power outtage

You shut the machine off then on, Press Clear, auto, clear , auto, then when the lights go out, program it as if you were running 14 copies. press start and that should reset it.
Thats the redish pink clear button and the auto exposure button, Clear, Auto , clear auto, and the display goes blank , enter 14 and start. Dont ask me why I repeated that LOL

H4 error code

H4 codes are related to the fusing unit. Specifically a low heat condition. Follow the reset procedure below. If that doesn't work further diagnosis of the fusing unit an peripherial circuits may be warranted.

Error code reset:

Perform the following key procedure
"#" key, Interrupt key, "C" key, Interrupt key
"1" key, "4"key
Start key, "CA" key.

See if unit cycles and comes back up. If not turn off and then back on the main power.
If error reappears on site technical service may be required.

Cant get rid of blinking error message, nothing works

The correct buttons to push in order to get into the service mode on a 162D are [#] key, [*] key, [C] key and [*] key. Then you key in 14 - 00 and press the Start key. If that fails to bring your machine back on, you'll have to replace the fusing assembly.
