Question about Lexmark X1195 All-In-One Printer
All in one is not communicating with the computer tried everything suggested in the book
The books for most printers are so useless to us they may as well be burnt. I get fed up with useless info. Very rarely of help. My first suggestion if you are running the correct driver for your OP, and your printer was previously fine, is to check if the printer queue is blocked up with too much memory from print jobs.
Go to the quick launch icon in task bar at bottom of your screen, right click on the printer icon, and bring up printer jobs window, scroll down to cancel print jobs. Now, once done, turn off your printer. Let it sit off to reset it. Turn it back on and try to reprint what you want. If this fails, you may have its preferences accidentally switched to work online or something else. Check it is not. My friends canon was accidentally set to this and it would only print off internet, and would not communiacte offline until we checked the work offline preference in the preferences collumn. that doesn't help, try the steps below:
Disconnect the printer from your computer.
Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
Delete the Lexmark print object.
Reboot your pc.
When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.
Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control
Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the
list again, then try to print again.
