well at first when it shut down just the red lights were blinking . which is the standy lights. when i hit the power button it attempted to turn back on then shut down. (stayed on about 2 seconds). then i took the cover off the media box. because my house is on a main streer in chicago which generates alot of dust. so i blew into the box to remove some dust( note the box has some kind of switch inside the box that i suppose is to know when the cover has been removed. like a dryer door switch) then i put the cover back on and tried it again. now the blue power light stays on red standby light stays on and orage rec timer light stays on. and the media box is non responsive what so ever. for example if you press the power button it neither turns on or off. the only way it turns off is to unplug it . normally when it turns off you here a click. when its upluged you dont here that click now and the lights stay on for about 10 seconds befor they loose power. have i anwsered your questions?

After watching my Pioneer PDP-4340HD TV for about three hours, the TV shuts itself off. I can use the report to power it back on and continue watching immediately but this continues to happen night after night. When it first turns back on, the timer record light blinks about thirty times before going out.

The service man said that there must have been a power line voltage drop that causes the TV to shut off but I don't think this is happening night after night.

You activated the trap switch. You must now call an authorized Pioneer service center near you. They are the only people that know how to deactivate it.

That's just it, you won't know how many times the red light was blinking for the error code unless you get the trap switch deactivated. But an authorized Pioneer service center will know all that info.

My Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD just shut off on it's own, and now won't turn back on. No green or red indicator light... nothing. Any suggestions?

Check your power source (electrical outlet) and the power cable. If electrical outlet is ok, try using a different power cable (the cable that you plug on to the electrical outlet going to your TV set). If everything is ok but still no indicator light, call your technician there might be a problem with the TV power supply.

I have no sound through my surround sound when playing ps3

The optical audio out from the TV only works for the TV's tuner, probably. Hook-up optical from Cable/SAT and from PS3 boxes to DVD/Receiver.

My Pioneer plays DVD's and Blu-Ray but will not show the T.V.

Most likely its in the Media Reciever as the tuner is in there. If the set is showing a good picture on other inputs then that would be my guess. Pioneer has a flat rate to fix these and you may call their customer service to find out how much and where to send it 1800-421-1404 or plasma hotline 1800-421-1625

TV keeps shutting off automatically

Since your plasma is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under warranty. If the plasma keeps shutting off by itself, that is not normal and should be repair.

Can't turn on from Stanby mode

I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.
