How to delete songs from mp3

To delete MP3 files, you must first find the location of the actual files. To do this, you can use your operating system's search feature to find the specific file, or, alternatively, from your music player, you might be able to reveal the location of the file by choosing to view more info.
Deleting should be as simple as dragging your file to the trash.

Here's a manual way of doing it. I'll take this off once you put into your first post zain.

1. Start
2. Run
3. Type: command
4. To move into a directory type: cd c:*** (The stars stand for your folder)
5. If you cannot access the folder because it has spaces for example Program Files or Kazaa Lite folder you have to do the following. instead of typing in the full folder name only take the first 6 letters then put a ~ and then 1 without spaces. Example: cd c:progra~1kazaal~1
6. Once your in the folder the non-deletable file it in type in dir - a list will come up with everything inside.
7. Now to delete the file type in del ***.bmp, txt, jpg, avi, etc... And if the file name has spaces you would use the special 1st 6 letters followed by a ~ and a 1 rule. Example: if your file name was bad file.bmp you would type once in the specific folder thorugh command, del badfil~1.bmp and your file should be gone. Make sure to type in the correct extension.

Check the properties on the individual file. are u trying to delete Propritory files on the Maxwell ? or your own files.

Right click on the file, then choose properties, see if its read-only. Also, check the security tab to see what permissions ur user name has. edit modify accordingly.

this may help.

File error

Try a reset and see if it corrects itself. hit menu, settings, scroll to reset all, select yes. This won't delete any files, but it should clear up the song transfer problem. If that doesn't work you may have to reformat the device which will erase all data on it. But then you can start fresh again.

Weird music files on my Sansa e250 media player

Reformat your Sansa via My Computer. Right click on your Sansa while in my computer, and then FORMAT. Please understand that this will delete ALL of your files. You will have to resync any pictures or music. I had to do this in MTP, AND MSC mode individually to get rid of those pesky items.
