I installed an effect program for webcams calledcalled webcamMax, and i uninstalled it. Now my camera wont work when i try to use it with a messenger like msn, aim, yahoo, or stickam. I think it may have made it a default webcam program or somthing, but eigther way I would not know how to fix this, is there a solution to get it running normal again?
I can still turn on the camera through the logitech quickcam program

Depending on what webcam you have there should have been a disc with it, you must install the drivers from the disc before you can use it, that will install the program that runs the webcam, once installed click on the webcam program and it will turn on your webcam,,, there are also other programs that can run your webcam such as WebcamMax.com or Manycam.com.. Goodluck
Check to see if its a hardware or software problem. Plug your camera in Go to this site and see if your webcam works using 3rd party software. Hit "Allow" in top window and the cam should fire up in the left hand panel. If it works there you know you still have a software problem http://www.testmycam.com/ If you have Vista, you can uninstall the software, plug the cam in and the software will be installed on boot-up. If not, I would recommend you uninstall the software - run the CD again and then go into Device Manager, expand the Imaging file, right click on your webcam and select the update drivers option - from the internet.Delete any redundant webcam software if found.
First, reinstall the 3rd party conduit and related application. Next, check with the developer of your conduits to see if they have a patch or information on their software and the new Palm Desktop. If the problem persists, try the following:
1. Backup the c:\palm directory
2. Uninstall all 3rd party conduits
3. Uninstall Palm Desktop
4. Re-install Palm Desktop
5. Re-install all 3rd conduits.
6. Synchronize to test.
