Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player
After i got the newest update for my zune 2.3 from my 1.3 the music started to freeze and then the zune will shut off.
video playback is fine but the music seems like the files have been somehow screwed up after the update.
holding back and left doesn't do anything to resolve the problem it only helps to turn it off when the system decides to freeze up.
Well, i have a zune its and 8gig, and well i was trying to play this one song and it COMPLETELY freezed and it won't let me shut it off or anything, i can't even press back... helpful tips please....?!?!?

Uhm i think i may have found your solution, that is if your using limewire or some client of the sort, i synced my zune while the program (limewire) was on and downloading music and i had the same problelm you did so i simply deleted all my music and put it back on the zune while limewire was off and now it works fine, i have an 80 gig btw if that matters

Same thing started happening to me after the update.
i have the 30 gb device and what has worked for me is simply pausing the song that your're listening to before playing a diffrent artist/song.
it sounds annoying but its worked for me.
i delete the music from my computer after syncing it to my zune so i cant just delete and re-sync 28.3 gb worth of music, and would hate to have to download again, so this is the method ive been doing.

I got the same problem but it sounds like my hard drive isn't run right it makes a weird grinding type noise

Hold the back and up buttons to reset the zune. Next, wipe ot the files in your zune and resync them. Or buy an ipod like everyone else...
