So here is my problem, i had a perfectly working unlocked 1.0.2 firmware, baseband 03.14.08_G iphone. So i decided to upgrade to firmware 1.1.1 phone was still working fine, then i accidently upgraded to 1.1.3 through itunes 7.6 and it was all downhill from there, i had to restore the phone back to 1.1.1 and downgrade the baseband firware in order to unlock the phone again. After that my phone has not been able to stay on for more then 10 minutes, it just turns on i can use it but then it just freezes on me and stays frozen unlusess i put it in restore mode, but ive done that so many times and still the same problem with the phone. I have to press the sleep and home button at the same in order to turn the phone off. When i turn it back on sometimes it responcde and runs fine for another 10-15 minutes before it freezes and sometimes it dosent respond at all. Can you guys help me out here, before i smash this phone against the wall...

All you do it first follow the instructions to "Jailbreak" Your iphone 4.
Then you have to "unlock" it using ultrasn0w from cydia to allow it to operate on a network other than the intended networks here in the US.
most important is to check the "baseband" of your iphone as updated iphone 4 with newer firmware will not be able to be unlocked and therefore cannot be used in other countries without changing your baseband to the IPAD baseband of 6.15 which redsn0w will do. If you need more information please ask for clarification.
To find your baseband/firmware check
Settings>General> about, google this information to see if they have an "unlock" for your baseband.
Couple of questions before I can answer your question. Is it jailbroken? Is it factory unlocked? What's the firmware it's running on?
For WiFi, are you sure that MAC filter isn't enabled? Is the phone able to see your Wifi access point?
For GPRS, please contact Cellone's Customer Care, and tell them that you own an iPhone and ask them to push the GPRS settings accordingly.
Please remember that if you've used ultrasn0w and upgraded baseband's firmware to 06.15.00 (that's iPad's baseband), then warranty is now void, and you can't downgrade the baseband's firmware.
Also, at this baseband, users have reported issues with WiFi and GPS.
You can certainly jailbreak, but you cannot unlock as of yet. It doesn;t matter if you downgrade the 4.1 firmware, that may help you jailbreak but it is the Modem Firmware or Baseband that matters. Your baseband upgrade camme with the 4.1 update. Since you are at 05.14.02, you cannot unlock as of now, period. You cannot downgrade the baseband on a 3GS, so jailbreak using Limera1n or Greenp0ison, but you need to wait for a new version of Ultrasn0w in order to unlock for anything other than AT&T.
Dont worry though, my sources tell me that the unlock is on it's way to be released.
If you are running firmware 3.1.3, you iPhone cannot be unlocked at present. But If your phone are firmware 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07, you can unlock it using blackra1n. Visit blackra1n.com to download the software.
