Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi, Folks... I have 1994 Sony Trinitron KV-32V15 with this symptom: Turn it on for few minutes, picture showing ok, then collapses to dark brownish backgroud with screen full of horizontal lines brighter than background and about 1" apart. There, I notice pincushion on the right and left ends of lines. What do you suggest a guy can do? I owe you one. Thank you. Emile.

It sounds like your high voltage transformer is shot and now time to purchase a new one. The cost of repair is too high for the type of tv you own.Sorry for the bad news.

Sony Trinitron KV-28LS36U no sound or picture, the standby light flashing green and red but if i switch it on a little bit of sound comes and then switches off. how can i repair?

The unit is shutting itself down because a problem was detected internally. When this happens, the standby light should blink a repeated pattern. Please count the number of blinks and post the number here. That will indicate the circuit in which the problem occurred.

Thanks,
Dan

Sony Trinitron picture tube

The correct box will be supplied for your set through the cable or satellite provider-No problem there, but what do you want with a 5 year old set other than placing bets on what will go out next? A pix tube is not cheap nor good insurance against future problems...accordianman
