Question about LG 42PC3D 42 in. Plasma Television
Red pixels are showing on top part of television when it on for more that two hours. Is it overheating or is the television shot. Any solution ideas?
The actual problem is some of the components on some of the boards are showing signs of age (some of the values are changing slightly) this can be compensated for by adjusting your voltages (such as va & vs ) this take a little tech knowhow. or you can replace the y sus board but adjustments are necessary whenever replacing y or z control boards. hope this helps. i may know where to get boards if you need them.

Try josheling the TV with the help of someone (do not drop!). There are gasses that settle and sometimes this will work, as it did for me on my 52". Depending on the age, it may just need to be recharged.
