HI, I HAVE AN 2004 SAMSUNG HDTV 1080i ON THE SCREEN TV SHOWS ON BOTH SIDES RIGHT & LEFT A RAINBOW COLOR. IS IT THE PICTURE TUBE, I LOVE MY TV DONT WANT TO GET RID OF IT.

Hi, your issue is that some sort of magnetism has been near the TV, and or the degaussing coil cannot degauss the tube, what you need to do is A: Obtain a degaussing Wand, and wipe it over the surface of the screen or B: Ask your local TV repairman to do this for you,and your set should be returned to like new.. well the tube anyway.
This link below will explain it all for you.

Hi I have a Sony KP-41DS1U projection TV. There is hair or cobweb that 'floats'on the screen. Can I get access to 'blow' or clear it. Many thanks John

You could unscrew the screen frame from the rear cabinet. You only need to get a bit of a gap to gain access. Then use a flexible cleaning wand to clean those spider flowers out of there.

Using RCA P61939 without Guide Plus

Guide plus still works even if you don't have the wand hooked up. In the setup section of the guide plus there are several questions that must be answered properly or it won't function as you would like. It maybe labeled as options as well. Thanks

I have a mitsubishi vs-50605 in rear projection tv.i wand to know how to get to the bulbs to clean them? i also want to know how to change the blue convergence?

You have to remove the front screen or back panel. Every set is different.

convergence is in the menu - if you have the original remote.

This is a common television flyback transformer , it has two potentiometers ( POTS ) variable resistors , how ever you wanna say it , the one above has 3 , one of them is the focus

you can use a plastic screwdriver or plastic wand , or small metal screw driver if nothing else

Here's a closeup of one that has only two potentiometers

ed6c36f.jpg
One of them is the focus adjustment

to adjust the focus/sharpness of the image you see on the screen

1. find which one is the focus , you will know because adjusting it out of calibration will cause
the screen to go out of focus untill you adjust it correctly.

to adjust it correctly , rock it back and forth untill you see the sharpest image , then your done.

if you accidently get the wrong one by mistake your screen will increase in brightness
set the brightness lower rather than higher , because you don't want it to be over saturated.

Yea I would say so.. simple coincidence.. Ok... Hmm maybe the set needs to be De-gaussed.. has anyone had any Magnets near it lately? If so get a De-gaussing wand and run it over the screen

But more likely it has a failed colour component somewhere probably inside the "Jungle Chip" as it's called..

Unless ya can troubleshoot thses things yaself I would recommend that ya find a reputable serviceman and obtain a :Quote" and proceede from there. GL

I used to work at an arcade and we constantly had the problem of hues on the screen, there is a product you can buy that will fix this problem, though I'm not sure how much it costs since we just had one at the arcade. It is a magnatized wand that you plug in to a power source and wave around in front of the screen for a few moments. It did the job everytime.
