I just bought a sidekick 2 of my friend and i inserted a new sim but it says r u a memeber of t-moble or not. then when i try to sing in it says this phone is already activated.

YOu need to call t-mobile and have them deactivate the phone from your friends account. They will want the imei on the back of the lcd.

T-Mobile sidekick II keeps resetting


I had this problem with a new phone, and T-mobile gave me the following instructions.

Try this first:
1) Turn on phone with SIM chip in it.
2)hold down the "@" + "1" + "0" down simultaneously until phone turns off, then back on again. This should fix the problem. otherwise try this,

1) remove battery and SIM.

2) press and hold down the "w" key, and while holding it down insert the battery only.

3)A little face will appear on the screen, then a reboot button. Press the reboot button. Once the phone reboots, insert the SIM. One of those two should fix the problem.

My Sidekick LX is asking for a "Special Code"


once it says to enter your "special code" you hit cancel and it enables the sim pin. then you go to change sim pin, put in your old sim pin and put in a new one. then go to network settings and select "scan and select manually". once you find at&t click done and you can use the sidekick.

Hey i seen that you unlocked the phone and i was wondering if you could tell me how you got that special SIM code


i Bought a sidekick 2 phone from some who just came back abroad, when i inserted my sim card, i wa getting a message asking me to input my Unlock Code. I don't know what to do.

Try a master reset.

1. Remove the battery and the SIM card from the device.
2. Flip the sidekick open; press and hold the letter 'r' on the keypad.
3. While holding the letter 'r', place the battery back in the device. DO NOT INSERT THE SIM CARD YET.
4. The sidekick will restart itself twice. Please make sure not to let the letter 'r' go until it has fully rebooted.
5. Once it has fully rebooted, remove the battery, re-insert the SIM card and battery and power up the device.
6. Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factoy settings.

Sidekick


The SIM card slot on a Sidekick II is located on the top left corner of the device, under the rubber "bumper". The support section of T-Mobile's website has a diagram showing how to insert the SIM in a Sidekick 2.

Installing sim card in sidekick II


hello, hope these instructions help: 1. To expose the SIM card slot, peel back the bumper from the top-left edge of the device. (fig 1) 2. Insert the SIM into the slot with the gold contacts facing forward and the cut corner facing out. (fig 2) 3.
