What would recovery mode do for my problem

One of the experts in another one of my posts told me to go into recovery mode for this problem:

THE FIRST PROBLEM:THE SCREENS COLORS ARE MESSED UP

i don't know what is wrong with it one day i just turned it on and the colors were all screwed up. all the images on the screen appear to be multicolored outlined and blurry. i tried restarting it and it didn't work

THE SECOND PROBLEM: WONT CONNECT
every time i plug the usb into the computer it recognizes it as a new drive and on the mp3 it boots up and says connected, then a couple of seconds later it says disconnects and then disconnects from the computer. it goes back to the sandisk screen and then the process repeats about 10 times and then just goes back to the sandisk screen and stays there although plugged into the computer and isn't recognized.

usually when it messes up and freezes i would just go and run a disk check and error fix on my computer and it fixes itself but it wouldnt help these problems.

SOMEONE PLEEEEAASE HELP!!!!

What resolution are your images? without knowing if your pictures are set to 256 colors thats too low, 32 bit colors are too high. i think that 16 bit is what works.
hope this helps

Cant get passed recovery mode

this came from another post on fix ya.

For me the solution was this:
After entering the recovery mode (turn off the player, move the hold button to the right, and press the on and rec button, then connecting to the computer).
when the 16 mb folder opens create a NEW FOLDER (not a text document) called "Sansa.fmt". then disconec the usb and it was fixed.

E250 How do i downGrade

Recovery mode:
first, Create a blank file with filename "sansa.fmt", put the player to recovery mode this way = you have to enable the hold key then plug it to your computer while holding the record button. you may release it after you see 'welcome the recovery mode'.

Then drag-drop this file, the file will tell the device to format itself after you unplug it

Hope this help, if so please leave rating

Key Locked

Sounds to me like your hold switch is on. Have you tried sliding your hold switch on top of the player, next to the headphones jack to the off position?

Recovery Mode

Recovery Mode doesnt help if you dont load anything.

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

Scandisk c150 hangs

You may need a recovery disk. Was there not one with the mp3 itself? Good luck anyway!
