See page 45 of your users manual. This shows how to adjust the resolution and compression setting of the image captured. The lower the resolution, and higher the compression, the more images you can fit on your memory card. However, there is a trade off of image quality.

In that case, you will be able to download the manual from this link. The link will take you to Canon USA's site, where the camera is known as the PowerShot S200, but the functionality is the same. Hope that helps.

IPhone 6 out of space for pictures

If you're using a 16GB iPhone 6, you may have to clean up storage on your iPhone regularly to keep the device running normally. If you don't want to delete the photos shot with my iPhone camera, you can connect your iPhone to computer with the USB cable, and copy these photos to your computer. This method is an easy but efficient way to keep your iPhone photos when you want to free up your iPhone storage space.

Coolpix 110 video says out of memory, but can take pictures

You need a lot more memory space for video while still photos take less space. So although you might be able to take a few more photos the camera knows that there is not enough space to shoot video.

How to recover deleted photos and videos in Sony Cyber shot DSC-w170 even if i have taken new photos

I have had success with this camera photo recovery software... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

I have a datatraveler 4gb stick how many photo will it hold

That is not exactly to calculate. It depends on the stored image sizeand quality.
Small pictures could be 400KB a piece, but large ones easily can go up to 6GB
a piece. If you know thye avaerage size of your pictures, you can calculate it.

Picture Size to Large?

This may not be the solution; however, please obtain a larger capacity memory card.
A 2GB card will give you several hundred photos. Cost is less than $10.
You really should not lower the resolution. you will lose detail that you may want in the future (really). (4GB card will hold over 999 pictures - $15)
If you must lower the resolution, press "Menu" and use the arrows to move the highlight bar to "resolution" ... change it to a lower number like 6MP. keep the "FINE" setting in place (if your model has that setting) or maybe "BEST".
Do not use "RAW" - (very large pix).
Hope this helps!

Cannot enter more pictures

Some models allow you to set photo copy or import method to "optimized". This will compress the photos as they are copied to the frame and allow you to fit more on it. But in order to use this feature, you must copy from a memory card or USB drive, not a PC. A PC will override the copy mode.

Reduce photo size

If you want to take lower resolution photos, it's pretty simple.

Go into the Menu on your camera, and look for "Quality".
Canon does "Large" "Medium" or "Small", if you change to "Small", you'll fit more images on your memory card.

However, "small" will make the photos not look as good as "large", keep that in mind.

I am looking for an external drive to save pictures

Hi jodybertram,

Digital photos take up differing amounts of disk space depending on their resolution. For instance, a small picture such as a logo from a website would take up substantially less space than a picture you would use for your desktop wallpaper. If you are looking to use your USB drive for photos, you may want to shop around in the store for memory cards first, as they commonly have a chart that translates storage capacity to the number of photos per resolution. This may help you decide which size flash drive to purchase.

Thank you,
Jason,

How do I adjust the resolution that the photos are saved?

To change the resolution and compression:

1. Press the Func button.
2. Scroll down, if necessary, to the icon in the lower left corner of the LCD.
3. Use the right or left arrows to select L (large), M1, M2 (medium), or S (small). Press the Set button.
4. Use the right or left arrows to select superfine (quadrant with S), fine (quadrant), or normal (stairsteps). Press the Set button.
5. Press the Func button to exit.

Large/superfine images will take up the most space on the memory card. Small/normal images will take the least, but the picture quality will be less if you're printing the pictures.

There is a table at this link (scroll down) to show you how many images will fit on a memory card at different settings.
